The Power of drafting
At the end of the day, after the debrief when the students had left, we found something that made us happy. A great example of resilience, determination and success.

ReplyDeleteThe outline is excellent and really helpful for identification of a Yellowhammer. The shading on the wings is very good and gives a sense of the layers of feathers lying on top of each other.
My advice would be to look at the tufts on the head of the original reference picture. I think there should be a slightly soft and jagged edge on the top of the head to portray those short feathers on the head.
Mr Mead knows the bird better than me so ask him about the colouring on the neck.
