This is the Blog of the Call of the Wild project of Cramlington Learning Village. The aim of this project is to record an album of Ambient music, based on and inspired by the songs of birds to raise awareness of wildlife and conservation issues. The project is facilitated by Darren Mead and Martin Said.

Which birds are you considering?
We are considering using the black cap, the chiff chaff and the skylark.
We like the sound of the black cap as it sings a nice melody and we have a high quality recording of it.
The chiff chaff‘s name resembles the call it makes. This is why we picked it.
We chose the Skylark because it has a nice high tone of song.
